There's significant news from the PBSA arena in the U.K. as GSA has announced a new Global Head of Finance, Simon Bray.

According to the statement from GSA, Bray will play a pivotal role in implementing GSA's international growth strategy and elevating its performance culture.

Bray joins GSA after prior roles at BNP Paribas and Credit Suisse Prime Fund Services. His expertise includes strategic planning and execution, operational risk, P&L enhancement, M&A, and operational resilience.

"Simon is a fantastic addition to GSA and our executive team, and I am delighted to welcome him to the business. His impressive track record with leading financial services companies and the depth and breadth of his leadership and operational expertise will play an important part in driving growth while embedding strong risk management," according to John Jacobs, Global Head of Capital Markets at Global Student Accommodation.

Jacobs said the student housing sector remains incredibly robust and Bray will play a pivotal role in GSA's growth strategy.

With an international remit, Simon will be responsible for GSA's finance, fund control, tax, people and culture, treasury, risk, and compliance functions. He will be a core member of GSA's executive team alongside Ben Harvie (Global Head of Investment Management), James Hunt (Global Head of Real Estate), and John Jacobs (Global Head of Capital Markets).

GSA was established in 2013 and is active in nine countries, in 72 of the world's leading educational cities.
